Imagine 2019 Panel Recap: Magento Service Isolation

May 15, 2019 - Reading time: ~1 minute

I am at #MagentoImagine 2019 this year at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. Great food and fun times networking. What follows is a recap of some of the hottest panel topics in Magento development. This post is on Magento Service Isolation.

These details are gleaned from notes I took while taking in the panels, so keep that in mind if anything seems overly obvious.

This was a very insightful panel on Magento's effort to isolate core services and reduce interdependency

A few note(s) I got from this panel:

Magento is putting a lot of effort into isolating services to enable easier usage with GraphQL and SASS services

This is absolutely key to making PWAs work, especially with the current partial implementation. It also allows the complete rewriting of service layers to accommodate GraphQL or pure SASS setups.
